o choose a Sancerre wine well, it is best to know the characteristics of its three colours and its different cuvées. It is also necessary to know that white Sancerre comes exclusively from the Sauvignon grape variety and that the rosé Sancerre and the red Sancerre are both issued from the Pinot noir grape variety. The Cave des Vins de Sancerre produces 80% white wine, 10% red and 10% rosé. As proof of the quality of its production, it was rewarded for its white Sancerre 1997 cru, receiving two bronze medals, one at the Paris wine fair and the other at the Mâcon wine fair. The cuvées from the Cave de Vins de Sancerre each have their specific characteristics, making it possible to satisfy all demands.
