Located at the heart of central France’s Berry region, Sancerre is the flagship Loire Valley wine.
The vineyards stretch across 15 communes and are comprised of 3,000 hectares of which 80% are planted with Sauvignon Blanc grapes and 20% with Pinot Noir. The terroir is comprised of three types of soils – “terres blanches” (white earth), “caillottes” (little stones) and siliceous clay. Because the grapes come from such a diversity of villages and soil types, we are able to create superb blends.
